Sales Analyst

About

The Sales Analyst plays a vital role on the sales team and will be responsible for compiling and analyzing sales and market data, providing feedback and actionable insights to guide the promotional and sales activities. To be successful you must be able to analyze large amounts of data, accurately project sales trends, identify sales opportunities and provide guidance to optimize sales strategies and increase market share.

 

Responsibilities

  • Determine the most effective way for compiling and analyzing staff metrics and productivity
  • Analyze existing data and reports and make recommendations to leadership for improvements
  • Compiling, analyzing, and reporting on sales metrics
  • Identify and resolve data quality issues discovered during the reporting process
  • Monitoring and analyzing competitive activity, customer, and market trends
  • Provide actionable insight to guide the sales and marketing teams
  • Contributing to the development of sales plans and objectives
  • Monitoring and evaluating sales performance and effectiveness of sale tools and technology
  • Forecasting and monitoring demand, revenue, and expense
  • Determining sales potential and making recommendations
  • Assist with ad hoc analysis on various projects as required

 

Skills Needed

  • Minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience in related area as an individual contributor 
  • BS degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
  • Strong research and analytical skills
  • Proficiency MS Office, G Suite and CRM software (Experience with Zoho and ZoomInfo systems is a plus)
  • Excellent verbal, written communication, and presentation skills
  • Projection and forecasting skills
  • The ability to maintain calm under pressure
  • Efficiency and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams
